Beartooth Nature Center
We visited during a Monday evening and literally had the whole park to ourselves. I could not get over the landscaping and personality of the animals! When you go, visit Marvin!
Red Lodge, MT

Red Lodge is one of those charming little Montana towns that sucks you right in. Maybe you just stop for a burger at Red Box Car. Then you decide a post-prandial stroll through the tidy historic downtown wouldn’t hurt. Why not pop into a gallery or two? Or (real quick) the Montana Candy Emporium? Then the aroma from City Bakery wafts by…
Might as well give in. Seal the deal with a pint (and maybe a tour) at Red Lodge Ales Brewery, or grab a pizza from Red Lodge Pizza Co. Swear to work it off at Red Lodge Mountain tomorrow, if you don’t end up exploring the Beartooth Nature Center instead. Then, rest up: the 1960s Yodeler Hotel has one frill (steam sauna showers) while upscale Historic Pollard has plenty, plus a luxe breakfast. When you finally leave, resolve to return: after Memorial Day, the spectacular Beartooth Highway opens for scenic driving.

I recommend this bar because the atmosphere is very cool and the bartender made my husband and I feel so welcome while we were on vacation in Red Lodge. Great conversation with the locals was fun and interesting!
Rick R. hit it spot on. Exceptional steak.

Red Lodge is such a great little community. The people are nice and its a welcoming and fun downtown area. There are some great brews too. Can't wait to go back!

We drove two hours specifically to taste this pizza- and we were not disappointed!
We rented a cabin at Rock Creek Resort when during our son's wedding.. It's a great cabin, great resort!
Saw Peter Fonda getting an ice cream cone on a hot Sunday.
Any hotel that has its own ski wax room is alright by me. The Yodeler is retro 1960s, very simple, but the one luxury is that the rooms all have steam showers, kind of like your own private sauna. Awesome ...
