Might as well give in. Seal the deal with a pint (and maybe a tour) at Red Lodge Ales Brewery, or grab a pizza from Red Lodge Pizza Co. Swear to work it off at Red Lodge Mountain tomorrow, if you don’t end up exploring the Beartooth Nature Center instead. Then, rest up: the 1960s Yodeler Hotel has one frill (steam sauna showers) while upscale Historic Pollard has plenty, plus a luxe breakfast. When you finally leave, resolve to return: after Memorial Day, the spectacular Beartooth Highway opens for scenic driving.

Bull And Bear SaloonI recommend this bar because the atmosphere is very cool and the bartender made my husband and I feel so welcome while we were on vacation in Red Lodge. Great conversation with the locals was fun and interesting!
