Why You Should Visit
The first thing you hear when you get out of your car is Old Time Country music playing through the outside speakers. Then you walk inside and the first thing your eyes fall on is a huge, round fireplace right in the middle of the room. When it is cold or rainy out, they have a cozy fire burning. I always try to sit next to the fireplace, but those tables fill quickly! The speciality of the house is broasted chicken... mouth watering and juicy; served with a salad and Jojo's. If you aren't in the mood for chicken, there are many other choices, including the huge Grubsteak dinner. The prices are very reasonable, which makes this restaurant / bar one of our favorite places to head to, and with a very relaxed dress code, we can head there after spending the day hiking or even before going to a fancy event!
As you wait for your order, the kids can enjoy an old quarter operated "bucking bronco" while the adults talk about the decor! Ahhh... the decor! It ranges from mounted heads and full animal taxidermy to licence plates from many states and Montana Counties lining the walls. There is at least one TV within view of most of the seating, with a range of news stations and sports to choose from. And, if you get too hot while sitting next to the fireplace, cool off with a frosty Big Slam... which is a Huge snifter of your favorite beer!
